I love this dressing and it’s so healthy for you. It contains turmeric which is considered a medicinal herb. Turmeric contains curcumin which is a powerful anti-inflammatory (people with Lupus suffer from inflammation tremendously). Curcumin is also an antioxidant. Since curcumin is difficult for the bloodstream to absorb, it’s a good idea to use black pepper along with your turmeric recipes because it increases its effectiveness. It’s also been linked to improving our brain function (Many people with Lupus suffer from Brain-fog, and other neurological issues). There are many benefits to adding this to your diet, so I would highly recommend making it a staple herb in your spice collection.
This recipe also contains fresh garlic, which is PACKED full of vitamins and nutrients. I love it because it helps boost immunity, and reduces arthritis pain (among many other things). I try to eat it daily.

1/4 Cup of yogurt (coconut yogurt, or organic dairy)
1 Tbsp. of olive oil
1 clove of garlic, crushed/minced
1 tsp of ground turmeric
Mix it up! This equals one serving.
(I added pink Himalayan salt and pepper.)
The salad James made was with fresh greens, pumpkin seeds, roasted vegies, and fresh herbs! It was delish!
